Winter wonders!

Our Early Years Winter Wonders activities are designed to help young children explore the world around them while discovering the magic of the winter season.

Through interactive, hands-on, and craft-based activities, children will develop essential skills, broaden their knowledge, and make sense of seasonal changes in a fun and engaging way. These activities help to support development in:

🎨 Expressive Arts and Design: Creativity and fine motor activities

Activities are drop in and on all day

❄️ Ice Block Building
Children will get creative constructing with large ice blocks, exploring balance, shape, and teamwork.

❄️ Make a Snowman
Using tweezers and colorful pom-poms, children can build their own snowman, supporting fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

❄️ Snow Patterns
Children can use their fingers to create patterns in the snow, combining sensory play with early math and creativity.

❄️ Shape Snowman
Using a variety of shapes, children can design their own snowman while practicing shape recognition and problem-solving.

❄️ Decorate Your Own Mittens or Hat
Children can draw patterns with white crayons and reveal their designs using a thin layer of paint, making a unique winter accessory while honing fine motor skills.
